Boti Waterfalls – A Guide to a Beautiful Exploration.
Boti Falls is a beautiful twin waterfall located at Boti in the Yilo Krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. These twin falls which come from two rivers are referred to as male and female; according to local myth, a rainbow is formed when they merge. Boti Waterfalls is one of the most visited waterfalls in the country and a popular destination for tourists and locals alike and with good reason. The falls are stunning, and the surrounding area is lush and green.
How to Get To Boti Waterfalls
Your mode of transport will determine the hours for the trip. Board a bus heading to Koforidua, then from Koforidua get on a bus to Nkurakan and get on a motorbike or taxi to Boti Waterfalls. The roads from Koforidua to Boti Falls are in poor condition. However, if you are going by private transport, I suggest you use the Adukrom road instead of passing through Mamfe- Koforidua. You can take a bus or hire a taxi to get there.

What To Expect Upon Arrival.
The compound is quite spacious should there be a lot of tourists visiting. You pay for your tour upon arrival as assigned a tour guide. The falls are a 7-minute walk from their reception area. The walk down the falls is quite steep so you have to be prepared. I could hear the sound of the falls as we got closer. The falls are split into two parts, the upper falls, and the lower falls.
The upper falls are the larger of the two, and they are stunning. The water cascades down from a height of about 30 meters, creating a beautiful mist that surrounds the falls. You can climb up to the top of the falls for an even better view, but be careful as the rocks can be slippery. You can get on the canoe for a closer look at the falls at a fee.

The lower falls are smaller, but they are still worth a visit. They are located just a short walk from the upper falls, and they offer a different perspective on the falls. You can swim in the pool at the bottom of the falls, which is a great way to cool off on a hot day.
Our tour guide was patient and friendly. Although we barely got any history tour talk of the place I enjoyed being in the water. I was lucky to see the rainbow, very beautiful scene.
There is a restaurant there if you are not visiting with your meals. Food price ranges from 50 cedis and above. It takes up to 30 minutes for the food to be ready.
